History
The site was originally a team web site for the Gross Lunch Bunch Racing Team
(GLB) in December of 2001. It served as a site for team members and a
running resource for Dayton area runners. After functioning for two years
as glbracing.com, we decided that the site would be better served to drop the
affiliation with the GLB and move in a new direction.
Goal
Our goal is to promote running and fitness in Southwestern Ohio. Any proceeds will go directly
towards the operating costs of the web site or towards sponsorship of running
events.
Founder
I've been asked by numerous people why do I spend so much time with this, or why
do I actually do it? Since junior high I've always been a person that enjoyed
organizing events or activities. I was the guy who called everyone for a
pick-up basketball game or for back yard football. I never did it for
attention or so-called glory, rather, the pure satisfaction that the
participants really enjoyed the activity and wanted to continue it in the
future. Obviously, I'm not a professional web designer. This entire
site was designed on my home computer in my basement. I learn new things
each day about web design, usually by mistake.
